Once upon a time, there was a Thought, Awareness and a Water Drop…(Part Five): DAY 474

Here we come to the FINAL step – the Practical Corrective Living, where one in fact APPLY the change in REALITY consistently, until eventually, the self-change is noticeable within oneself and one’s behaviour – which will be the moment where the green water drop, will change entirely to purple. We’ll continue with this process in the next post.

As explained in the previous post – Writing, Self Forgiveness and Commitment Statements opens up the POTENTIAL for actual self and living change, for change to become REAL, constant and consistent within self and self’s living. So, let us have a look at the three dimensions again – this time from seeing what it would mean to apply / live change until the change becomes self within and without:
One have to understand that, changing oneself in relation to a point / dimension within the Mind – will be a process, because one had initially automatically lived-out a particular reaction / self-definition and now one has to move out of the automation and at the same time redefine and change oneself. We will show how this works as we walk through each individual dimension we had walked as examples within the posts thus far.

Dimension 1: Word Definitions
Automated Mind Program:
Initially, the moment the words “handsome / beautiful” would come up in the Mind – many images / projections would come up within the Mind, along with emotional reactions that would lead to comparison and self-judgment.

Practical Application Process and Change
Now, every time ANY reference of “handsome / beautiful” comes up within self – self deliberately in the moment, immediately REMIND oneself that one is deciding to not participate in such definitions of “handsome / beautiful”, but that one had decided to focus oneself / one’s life on one’s own personal process and not be distracted by such definitions and reactions to words in the MIND. So, instead of ‘following the Mind’ when images / projections come up the moment one see/ hear the words handsome / beautiful – one in real-time, in the moment speak a self forgiveness statement, for example “I forgive myself that I have accepted and allowed myself to in this moment want to follow my thoughts / projections and the images that came up within me in relation to the words handsome / beautiful. I commit myself to no longer participate in such distractions in my Mind.” Then you breathe in and out and let the point go within yourself and continue focusing on what you were doing in your world.
So, one continue walking this point – changing SELF IN THE MOMENT, from stopping continuing following the mind / participating in the Mind and bring your focus back to yourself, to breath, to the physical and your immediate environment.

Dimension 2: Comparison
Automated Mind Program:
Here one found how comparison activates within one’s Mind, because when one looked at others in real life and/or in magazines / TV / movies – one focused more on their external appearance and how it compares to one’s own external appearance. So, because one’s Mind was preoccupied with external appearance – this became the focus of what one sees in one’s external world, which leads to the activation of comparison in one’s Mind and so also the emotion of jealousy.

Practical Application Process and Change
Now, as one is walking around a lot of people, reading magazines and/or watching TV / Movie and one find in a moment a comparison comes up in the Mind: one IMMEDIATELY stop within oneself, speak a quick self forgiveness statement for example: “I forgive myself that I have accepted and allowed myself to access comparison – wanting to compare my external appearance to that of another. I commit myself to stop this comparison, realising that I decide to not preoccupy myself with external appearances and comparison”. Then, one change oneself in the moment and instead of comparing external appearances – rather see what you can LEARN from another by observing them. Meaning, change how one see others from comparing oneself to them – to seeing who they are as individuals: how they dress / walk and express themselves through words / behaviour. Realising that the person you’re looking at / observing is an INDIVIDUAL that is expressing themselves through words / behaviour / dress. The moment we start comparing – we stop realising that human beings are individuals and instead start seeing them as ‘competition’, instead start using them in our minds to fuel our own issues / problems with comparison and jealousy. So, this is an practical application to consider when working with comparison – to in the moment stop the comparison in the Mind and look / observe the individual for who they are.

Dimension 3: Self Judgement
Automated Mind Program:
Here one found that the moment comparison activates, self-judgment also comes up in the Mind – where one starts bullying oneself in one’s own Mind with the focus of the self-judgment primarily directed to/towards external appearances.

Practical Application Process and Change
So, every time a self-judgment comes up – before you take it any further in the mind and continue participating in it and generating judgmental emotions / experiences: one speak a self forgiveness statement, for example “I forgive myself that I have accepted and allowed myself to in this moment judge myself. I commit myself to stop this self-judgment as I have decided to stop bullying myself in my own mind and instead work on supporting myself – rather than attacking myself.” Then one breathe in and breathe out – stabilizing oneself in the body, for a moment just being there with you and the body, no mind interference: to start assisting and supporting yourself and the body to develop an equal relationship, where you assist and support the body as the body assists and supports you to live/exist within this world / reality. So, in the moment you stop the self-judgment and stabilize yourself within and with the body – it’s like in this moment you remind yourself to be gentle with yourself, with the body and not attack / bully yourself and the body with the Mind.

Here are some examples of practical application and self change in the moment. Obviously, there are many different ways to approach a point in the Mind with using the tools of forgiveness, commitments and breath in real-time – but what I wanted to show here is how one change IN THE MOMENT.
So, with each practical application process – where one CHANGE IN THE MOMENT, one will find with remaining consistent in one’s application, the thoughts / reactions will start becoming less and less intense. Until eventually, the thoughts / reactions will come up ever so slightly and will be really easy to simply breathe and stabilize oneself within. This is because, if one would have continued participating in the mind in the dimensions of the words, comparisons and self-judgment – it keeps on generating the necessary energy / emotions for the Mind to keep such programs / dimensions / reactions in the Mind “alive”. So, if you start stopping participation and not follow the mind, but instead change and stabilize yourself – the mind’s points has less and less energy / fuel to charge the programs / reactions, because you are stabilizing YOURSELF in the PHYSICAL, instead of charging up the Mind.

We’ll in posts to come explain this change from Mind participation to Physical stability, specifically focusing on why it is not enough to simply just ‘stop thoughts / emotions’ and just breathe / stabilize oneself – but one has to have SPECIFIC self-change applications in relation to the mind’s programs / reactions.

Memories as Chains vs. Memories for Self-Change: DAY 461

I was sitting on Cerise’s bed in her room while we were busy doing the Descriptions for EQAFE Interviews, when all of a sudden – a Memory pops up within me. Or not so much ‘popping up’ as ‘floating ever so gently’ into/as my immediate awareness. This memory is something that I hadn’t thought of in YEARS – actually, having a look at it now: it was the first time this particular moment in my life came up as a memory within me. It goes back to when I was about 7 / 8 years old when my family went to meet friends of theirs and I was in their house. This memory was specifically when I was sitting in their lounge and the grown-ups were around the house catching up / discussing things. However, the memory was in a ‘freeze-frame’ – so, it was like only a moment of an entire memory that came up within me. Interestingly enough, it also came up with a resonance – a resonance meaning: it came up with a ‘feel’ inside the physical body – like the memory-itself had a presence to it that I felt inside the physical body.

Now, as I was sitting on Cerise’s bed I paused the memory for a moment – because, in relation to what her and I were doing and also the room-itself, I could not immediately find any context for why this particular memory and specific moment in the memory would in any way be triggered / activated. So, I went through a couple of dimensions to assess the relationship between the memory and where I was in the room – and finally went to the resonance/feel that came up together with the memory to from there see if I accessed that same resonance/feel inside Cerise’s room. There I found the connection. So, for a quantum moment – there was a ‘feel’ to Cerise’s room: the temperature, the time of day, the smells that created a specific presence/feel to the room itself; all of which perfectly aligned in that particular moment in such a way that it was exactly the same feel / experience I physically had in the memory when I was sitting in the lounge as a child in my parents' friends house. So, the context of the memory was what I was aware of as a child in the room – because in the memory, it was the first time I had been to my parents' friends house and so, as a child, one is quite aware of the feel/smells in an environment/room/new house.

I investigated my relationship to the memory more – to ensure that there were no emotional/consciousness attachments/reactions to it and didn’t find any but for that the memory activated through its relationship to ‘physical senses’. In the memory, the focus was very much on how I physically experienced the room and in Cerise’s room – it was also a moment where I was aware / physically experienced the moment within the room.
What I looked at in relation to this moment, is how few of our memories in fact contain ‘physical senses’ – meaning: more often than not – our relationship to memories is through the Mind/Consciousness, where we have energetic-experiences (emotions/feelings), thoughts / imaginations and even internal conversations that would come up / that we’d have within the Mind. This particular memory was when I was a child, where my awareness was more within noticing physical things / changes / sensations and as I was in Cerise’s room and we had just finished discussing a point and I was simply sitting there – I for a moment accessed the total physical environment, just breathing and waiting for her to write some things down; which is when the memory came up.

So, with our relationship to Memories more existing through the Mind than the Physical / our Awareness – is also illustrative of the extent to which, in our day-to-day living: we’re more living through the Mind than in an equal and one self-aware relationship with the Physical.
With this particular memory I faced, though – it was activated through the physical senses from the external environment and then came up within me. Whereas most of the time – when memories come up within the Mind, it triggers/activates our Mind MORE – where we tend to react/judge/converse about the memories that arise in the Mind. Therefore, initially in our processes: we use memories practically / constructively to assist/support ourselves in the process from Consciousness to Awareness – investigate what memories are holding thought-patterns / Personalities / reaction-patterns in place; because at the moment - memories and our relationship to it, tends to hold our Mind/Consciousness ‘in place’ and memories are a cool resource to use to see what we have accepted/allowed within ourselves as the Mind/Consciousness, to learn from the past, to introspect and observe ourselves.

We’ll continue more in posts to come with regards to how we can practically assist/support ourselves in our relationship to Memories, to utilize them as a resource in our Process from Consciousness to Awareness – instead of memories chaining us into/as our own Past which limits our Potential for Change.

I will not let ‘my Want’ take over ‘my Will’: DAY 437

Problem:

One often hear oneself, in the Mind, say: “I don’t WANT to” / “I don’t WANT to do it now” / “I don’t FEEL like it (also translated into ‘I don’t want to’). Have we ever considered the extent of self-interest within such a statement? Self-Interest meaning: within such a statement of “I don’t want to / I don’t feel like it / I don’t feel like it now/right now / I’m not going to do it now” – the only relationship that exist within such a statement is between the “I and the WANT”. Where this “I and WANT” ONLY exists in one’s own Mind, and the question within this is: where is reality? Where is one’s relationship to reality/the physical and responsibility within it…it is nowhere to be found.

Now, what is interesting is that most of the things that come up in our Minds have a direct-relationship to the “I”, where we exist through the Mind’s I and not the ‘physical eyes’, where we exist within Illusion instead of reality – where we will thus in such a moment only see the “I’s WANT” – instead of through the physical eyes, in terms of ‘who/what’s involved, what’s the responsibility in reality, what’s the consequence if I do not stand/direct/change/take responsibility in this moment, what would be best for all and my relationship to all/everything involved with taking this action/doing this thing/giving direction?’ None of that is taken into consideration in a moment, only the I of the Mind and its WANT, the MY WANT is taken into consideration. PLUS one get an added FEELING to it (Man!!! What a Prize!!!) when/as one go into that self-interested relationship of “I and WANT” instead of Here and Responsibility. Meaning, when you have a look for yourself, in memories of moments where you went into that “I don’t WANT to” – you will find that within that, you also get an energy experience, an emotional experience that you can feel in the physical AS YOU SPEAK THE WORDS. Look back at the memories, the moments – you will find that as you, in your mind or out loud spoke the words “I don’t want to” – along with it, came an emotional experience/energy experience from the mind in the body. This showing how the words we speak in the mind produce energy, as the energy is in relationship to the words we speak in the mind/out loud. This relationship between Words and the Mind/Energy and the difference of/as the Living Word expressed/lived through and as the Physical Body – we will discuss in more in detail in posts to come; how we have come energy-producing machines for Consciousness, instead of cultivating Life in the Physical/Real World.

Fascinating that we’d lean towards our own I / our own Want and creating an energy/emotion for ourselves – rather than, actually ‘creating/directing/moving ourselves in the REAL WORLD where there will be real impact/movement’. Instead, we ‘move’ in/as energy in the Mind as we speak the words “I don’t WANT to” – completely disconnecting/separating ourselves from reality, from REAL responsibility.
One can have a look at the simple, practical things where we do this to ourselves – in terms of simple/basic responsibilities such as house cleaning/studying/doing something for someone when asked/lending a helping hand/gardening/writing/reading etc. This one have to do for oneself – identify when/where one do this to yourself and your relationship to reality…additionally, how OFTEN one in fact do this to oneself in the Mind with the words/statement/context of “I don’t WANT to”.
But, what inevitably happens is: consequence in REALITY accumulates / time passes and that which needs to be done – is still here to be done. So, now what we’ve done with the “I don’t WANT to” statement in the Mind/out loud is get our energy-fix as well as accumulate consequence in reality / the physical where eventually MORE will have to be done than what it would have been if one simply physically willed/moved oneself when/as responsibility in reality came knocking/showing that it needs attention/direction. Consequence within, meets consequence without – for us to have that Energy Fix in the Mind, consequence externally continued escalating. Now Imagine, all of humanity in a similar/same possession – everyone wanting their mental energy-fixes FIRST before taking responsibility in reality/giving direction in/as their real world/lives and the earth as a whole. In this process, we’re all placing our own I’s / Mind’s and the ENERGY we experience BEFORE the Physical, BEFORE Life, BEFORE Responsibility in/as this real physical existence. Placing ILLUSION before REALITY.

The question is: what is the difference between the ‘I Want’ in the Mind and ‘Self Will’ in the Physical? What are the consequences of living in a Mind of Want, rather than a Self-Willed directive principle in the physical/real world? These questions we will explore in the next post.
