Taming the Wild Nature of the Mind (Part Two): DAY 468

Taming the Wild Nature of the Mind (Part Two): DAY 468

So, what Cerise needed to build the relationship with her Horse was: Knowledge and Information, Technique and Tools to establish a communication with her Horse – a language that both equally understand to come-together in equality within and as their relationship.
This same process goes for the Mind: we first have to understand the mind, get to know it (the Knowledge and Information), then have the Tools with which to work with it and the Technique to place the Knowledge and Information with the Tools into practical living change with regards to who we are within and as the Mind.

Now, if Cerise had the knowledge, information, technique and tools only within herself – and didn’t take the initial first step of starting the process: the relationship with her horse would not have developed in any way whatsoever. With horses, one often do an initial ‘relationship assessment’ – to see how the horse responds to you, what is their nature etc. – one essentially see/assess who/how one is, who/how the horse is and who/how you are together. From here one start with the basics of establishing a relationship, stabilizing the relationship and practise in the basics before one get to the more complex forms of communication/interaction in the relationship.
This is the same with our relationship to the Mind: if we only hold the knowledge, information, technique and tools within ourselves in relationship to the Mind, but still accept/allow ourselves in the Mind to ‘run wild’ – no change will ever manifest within who we are / in the Mind and so also not in our life/living experience/application. Therefore, in process – one always start with the basics to analyse/assess your relationship to thoughts, emotions/feelings, backchat, imagination. To be able to ‘see yourself for who/how/what you are’ – you need to self-honestly know how quickly you tend to follow thoughts, what particular thoughts you tend to follow more easily than others, how/why/when/where you give into emotions/feelings and what particular emotions/feelings you tend to give into more easily than others. The same then goes for imaginations / backchats. One need to have a ‘map’ of who you are in/as the Mind to from there start with the basics to be able to establish a relationship with yourself, the Mind and your life/living experience/application. From here, the process starts with applying the knowledge, information, technique and tools step by step, day by day – working with and changing what you’re able to at this stage based on your current, self honest, relationship to yourself and the Mind and your life/living experience/application.

See, again – if Cerise had an idea in her mind in relation to the relationship with the Horse that she WANTS and she held onto that projection and had tried to throw herself into the ‘deep-end’, so to speak, already starting with complex forms of techniques / tools without having made an realistic assessment of who she is/who the horse is and what their relationship are in the current moment of interaction: she would have created what we all so often face – the Illusion of ‘Failure’. When, all the while – it has nothing to do with failure, but everything to do with not walking the Process, not Preparing and not taking it step by step – but trying to manifest the Mind’s Projection of the Future, onto the now / here / present of physical reality and so not remembering what it would in fact take to create a relationship in/as Physical Reality.
We often do the same in our Internal Process with the Mind – we already ‘project’ who / how it is we’re going to be from the get-go and then we try and immediately manifest that Mind Projection into Physical Reality and so not remember that the Physical moves with space and time, with breaths, with sequences of events and that – to Create in the Physical – takes time, patience, commitment and dedication. Starting with the basics and establishing a foundation to BUILD on that foundation as we continue walking and changing and so, in this process, one can stop the Illusion of Failure – through remembering the PHYSICAL PROCESS that has to be walked to change one’s relationship to self, the mind and so who/how one is in one’s life/living experience.

We’ll continue more in the next post with specifically having a look at the ‘wild nature of the mind’ as it now exists because we’re not the directive principle of our own thoughts/emotions, for example and so why/how we’re not in control of our own Minds and our own life/living experiences/decisions. In this, we’re going to see how we can assist / support ourselves to rebuild ourselves, recreate ourselves within and without.
